Are You Teachable?

Is Every Man Your Teacher?

1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
Proverbs 13:18 Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.

All the good advice in the world will not help you if you don’t have a teachable spirit.

Same with mind and heart

1. Am I open to other people’s ideas?

2. Do I listen more than I talk?

3. Am I open to changing my opinion based on new information?

4. Do I admit it when I am wrong?

5. Do I ask questions?

6. I am willing to ask a question that will expose my ignorance?

7. Am I open to doing things in a way that I haven’t done them before?

8. Am I willing to ask directions?

9. Do I act defensive when I am criticized, or do I listen openly for the truth?
